Sicheng Zhang

I am a second-year PhD student at Khalifa University, supervised by Prof. Muzammal Naseer. My current research focuses on addressing fundamental challenges in MLLMs, with an emphasis on revisiting and improving their core components. I also keep a casual interest in AIGC models and cross-lingual AI.

Prior to that, I received my BSc (Eng) degree with First Class Honours from Queen Mary University of London in 2024. During undergraduate, my reseach focused on exploring and enhancing the capabilities of MLLMs in domain-specific understanding tasks, such as FunQA, CUVA, EgoLife. I enjoyed the opportunity to collaborate with MMLab@NTU, working closely with Dr. Jingkang Yang and Prof. Ziwei Liu at that time.
